Sängerfest 2005

Perth, the capital city of the state of Western Australia, was the host city of the 13th Sängerfest. The host choir, the Heimat Choir, is headquartered at the Rhein Donau Club in suburban Myaree. Both the concert of individual choirs and the massed choir presentations were held on Saturday 17th September in the  magnificent Perth Concert Hall. On Friday night and on Sunday all choirs enjoyed the hospitality of the Rhein Donau club.

A highlight of this year's Sängerfest was the visit and participation by a German choir - the Ärzte-Chor Meiningen, which is a choir comprising mainly doctors and nurses. But the way they sounded they cannot practice medicine every minute of the day!
